Between Realities

I am very excited to announce that I will be participating in an exhibit opening this weekend:

Between Realities

The Principle Gallery

208 King Street

Alexandria, Virginia

Opening Reception:  Friday, January 22

6:30 - 9 PM

Between Realities is curated by Broadstreetstudio:

Broadstreetstudio is interested in representational art which uses 'realism' as a means of depicting an 'unusual reality'. We explored particular themes for the exhibition, 'Between Realities', but kept coming up empty handed. As a group, Broadstreet has decided to employ the visual spectrum within which artists paint the place(s) between our ordinary, monotonous and sobering reality and the extraordinary. To Broadstreetstudio, representational is the perfect medium in which to depict the periphery where reality and unreality meet. The chosen artists have been an immense inspiration to each artist from Broadstreetstudio: Joshua Suda, Brian Martin, and Jason John.

A preview of artwork included in the exhibit is on the Principle Gallery's website.

An enormous thank you to Jason John, Joshua Suda, and Brian Martin for curating and organizing this show.

There is more to read more about the show and the Broadstreetstudio in this month's American Art Collector Magazine (cover image "Smash"  by Alyssa Monks):
